Whatever the profession you belong to Sri Lanka is the ideal Island to relax. Well, if you want to relax at the beach this splendid Island is surrounded by the Indian Ocean, the southern coastal line from Colombo to Tangalla. It is very attractive and most towns are developed as resorts. North and East are also developing after 30 years of Civil War ie; Trincomalee, Arugambay (surfing) Batticaloa, and Pasikuda and it includes Mannar and Jaffna the northern hotspots. The Southern coast is famed for Whale and Dolphin watching, surfing, diving, snorkelling and deep sea fishing. The best time to visit southern coast is between October and April while the North and East Coast from May to September.

Sri Lanka is highly recommended for those who are interested in culture, traditions, heritage and history. Its oral history goes back to millenniums with an unbroken recorded history for more than 2500 years. The British who wrote history of Ceylon classified its pre-history as legends, folklores and myths; especially Rawana. There are rock inscriptions pertaining to Rishi Thrunabindu, Rishi Pulasthi, Rawana and his dynasty and Seetha of Ramayana. Sri Lanka has eight world heritage sites around the country with ancient cities, fortress, temples and monuments.

In Sri Lanka wild life is in abundance. We have national parks around the country to enjoy Wild Life and Nature and the best place to see Asian elephants and the endemic leopard and endemic birds, and reptiles in their habitats. There are about 3000 elephants in the protected areas. This country is gifted with 33 endemic birds and there are about 430 bird species have been recorded so far in the Island. Sri Lanka is highly recommended for birders.

If you would like to do nature trails we have them in Horton plains nature walk, Adams peak climbing, trekking in knuckles mountain range, Sinharaja rain forest nature trail. There are two well maintained botanical gardens in Peradeniya in Kandy, Hakgala in Nuwara-Eliya and in Gampaha, just 17 miles away from Colombo. There are around 50 waterfalls in Sri Lanka, where ever you drive through possibility to see few of them. This Island is traditionally an agricultural country, which have lots of lush green trough out the country with mountains.

There are many activities around the country. Biking, Boating in Lakes, White Water Rafting, Elephant Riding, Golfing are popular among tourists. Sri Lanka also is very attractive with honeymooners, as you could witness the variety in the country.
